Dr. O John Ma

Dr. O John Ma is a highly accomplished medical professional who has dedicated his life to helping others. Throughout his 30-year career, he has participated in numerous investigations and led groundbreaking research efforts at multiple institutions. He has also been a leader of medical teams at several different facilities, most notably the University of North Carolina Hospitals in Chapel Hill. In addition to his work as an attending physician at UNC Hospitals, John Ma also served as the medical director of Carolina Air Care. In this role, he was responsible for overseeing emergency ultrasonography. Dr. John Ma is a highly performing-physician. He began his career in the Department of Emergency Medicine in 1999 and was soon promoted to director of research and vice chair for academic advancement. In 2006, he was appointed department chair and chief of emergency medical services at Oregon Health & Science University. John Ma is a passionate leader and innovator in emergency medicine.
